Take advantage of the time-saving benefits of Universal’s Visa Waiver program, enabling citizens of select countries to travel to the United States without obtaining a visa. Universal experts can help you determine how this service can work for your operation.
To qualify for a Visa Waiver, citizens of participating countries must be visiting the U.S. for fewer than 90 days, whether the purpose is tourism or business. Fewer than 30 countries currently participate in the VWP, and significant fines can be assessed to a company operator for non-compliance.

Trust our specialists to guide you through the VWP process. Some restrictions may apply; contact your Universal Trip Support Services team for assistance today.

TSA Waivers
A Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Waiver granting an exemption for entry into the United States may be required for your flight operations. Avoid paperwork by having Universal submit TSA Waivers on your behalf. Circumstances requiring a waiver include, but are not limited to:
  • Certain international-registered aircraft operating to/from or within the United States
  • U.S.-registered aircraft weighing more than 100,309 pounds, entering the U.S. but not from an approved "portal" country
Master Crew List / APIS services
Save time and avoid potentially costly fines by turning to Universal for Master Crew List and APIS filing services. This time-consuming processes require meticulous attention to detail, which can be difficult for fast-paced operations. Universal can collect this information and file your Master Crew List / APIS manifests on your behalf.

The Advance Passenger Information System (APIS), instituted by Customs and Border Protection, requires all Part 135 aircraft to file a report prior to departure from or arrival into the United States. A Master Crew List (MCL) must also be filed under this system, and all must be checked against the Interagency Border Inspection System (IBIS) for security purposes. The UN/EDIFACT standardization for Electronic Data Interchange adds further limitations and requirements to the procedure.

Effective February 1, 2007, the 10 member states of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) also require that all airlines and passenger vessels submit Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) manifests prior to arrival in, departure from, and travel between any member states.* Unlike current APIS requirements for the United States, CARICOM requirements are in effect for all aircraft and passenger vessels – commercial and private, affecting both Part 135 and Part 91 operators.

Need a convenient pay-per-use service? With the Universal Online MCL / APIS Submission Service, you can build, save, and store crew and passenger lists, as well as submit APIS manifests.* This Web-based tool is certified by U.S. Customs and Border Protection for filing manifests as required by regulations and UN/EDIFACT standards for data interchange.

Mexico Permits
Save time and enjoy greater convenience by having Universal apply for your Mexico Permits. With Universal’s expertise, you can obtain annual or one-time landing permits for individual private aircraft, as well as charter blanket landing permits for passenger, cargo, and air ambulance flights involving fleets or individual aircraft.

Export License
Save time filing and obtaining an Export License when traveling to a country that U.S. government has implemented a trade embargo against. Universal’s team of experienced Trip Support Specialists can obtain the Export License for you, saving you the time of following up on every step.
* The Online MCL/APIS Submission Service does not access client data previously stored in Universal databases. It is therefore not recommended for use by clients with existing Service Agreements, who should contact their Universal team for assistance with MCL/APIS.
