Houston, Texas and Dubai, UAE Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc., and Executive Flight Service (EFS) have announced an enhanced ground handling presence in Dubai through a cooperative agreement.

Universal®, through its subsidiary Universal Aviation (a member of the UVglobal Network®), and EFS have come to a unique agreement: Universal will support EFS with training and service enhancements, and EFS will execute handling activities on the ground. The agreement for enhanced ground services in Dubai was created in response to the high rate of economic growth in Middle Eastern markets, driving increased business aviation traffic. Formerly a preferred handling location, EFS can now better support growing client needs with an even greater level of professional service and corporate amenities.

"Universal® is committed to providing the level of service our clients have come to expect from us," said Lex Den Herder, Director, UVglobal Network Development and Acquisition. "With Universal Aviation's presence on the ground in Dubai – working together with EFS - we are able to meet clients' high service expectations through this new location and further ensure we are meeting the standards of quality service for which we are known throughout the world. Needless to say, we are very pleased to be working with EFS in Dubai in this unique relationship."

Operating out of a new facility, EFS is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is located at Dubai International Airport, adjacent to the Dubai Air Show location. This new location features direct, easy access to the terminal and corporate aircraft parking areas just adjacent to the new terminal, eliminating previous parking difficulties.

In addition, the cooperative effort offers available hangar parking, a brand-new VIP handling terminal, and 14 VIP/Executive Lounges. Passengers also have faster access to customs and immigration processing areas located in the building.

On-site amenities include catering arrangements, crew and passenger airside transport, ground transportation and hotel accommodations. Crew and passengers have access to telephones, e-mail and fax. Air-to-ground communications are located in the facility and in airside transport vans.

UVglobal Network® members are a network of independent ground service providers with facilities in over 50 countries. All members adhere to stringent standards that bring a level of consistency and quality service to aircraft operators traveling internationally. These standards include appearance, available services, signage and experience. Staff members must speak English and be uniformed for easy recognition. Strategically located to cover the globe, Network Members are chosen in key locations where stopovers and turns are common.
